Software Protection

The professional versions of AKABAK and VACS are protected by a Release Code which is linked to your computer. This code can be emailed to you, or produced with the help of a USB key which is mailed to you after purchase.

There are two ways to unlock the application:

1. USB-Key: Connect the USB-key to any free USB-port of your computer. Wait some seconds until the USB device has been recognized. The Release Code is generated automatically.
   Once installed, the software does not need the key anymore. You keep the USB key for when you need to install AKABAK and VACS on another or modified computer.
2. Release Codes: Copy and paste the provided Release Code from the confirmation email into the second field of the dialog.

A green light indicates that the application is ready for full operation.

Temporary Release Code

In order to bridge the time between purchase and arrival of the letter with the USB key, you will immediately receive an email containing the temporary Release Code.

Student Version

The student version lacks the comfort of the USB key. The necessary Release Code will be provided via email (see below section No USB Port).

Demo Version

The demo versions cannot be enabled and need to be replaced by the pro version.

No Release Code

Without the Release Code, the professional version behaves exactly like the demo version, which means that all functions are available but saving of the solving-result-files for AKABAK and saving project files for VACS.

No USB Key

R&D Team can provide the Release Code also remotely.

- Install the pro versions of AKABAK and VACS.
- Open AKABAK at menu Help/Release Code.
- Send an email with given machine-id to R&D Team.
- We will return the Release Code for this computer.
